Thirsties Pre-Wash

Note: Thirsties is reformulating their PreWash and will reintroduce it at some point in the future. Until then we will be out of stock. In the meantime, try Bi-o-kleen Bac Out Stain and Odor Eliminator. It does much the same thing.

Thirsties Pre-Wash is the only solution custom formulated by a chemist to pre-clean your cloth diapers. The active antimicrobial ingredients in Thirsties Pre-Wash actually rinses bacteria from your diapers, which are often the culprit of residual odors and diaper rash.

Be sure not to skip this important step in cleaning your cloth diapers! Thirsties Pre-Wash is specially formulated to loosen and rinse away waste and works to prevent stains from setting. Our pre-wash solution is completely safe against your baby's skin and washes clean from your diaper leaving no residue behind.

Most detergents contain harmful enzymes, artificial fragrances, man-made whiteners, and leave behind harmful residues. Thirsties Pre-Wash is entirely non-toxic, is safe for your HE washer and is 100% biodegradable

Care & Use

For optimum cleanliness, limit the size of your load to no more than 18 diapers and wash every other day. Use COLD water for the pre-wash cycle with ½ ounce of Thirsties Pre-Wash solution to help pre-clean your diapers. If you do not have a pre-wash cycle on your washer, a short or quick-wash cycle will work just as well. Follow with 1/2 ounce of Thirsties Super Wash in heavy cycle on HOT with an extra rinse.

What We Think: Do your diapers smell like a barn? Got stink that doesn't seem to go away? We did, and Thirsties pre-wash knocked it right out. (If you're having ammonia stink, try Funk Rock or a soak in Rockin Green Hard Rock. Thirsties Pre-Wash deals with "barn stink", not ammonia stink.)
